The customer stated that the person is located in the United Arab Emirates. However, in this case, the statement of Binance personnel stated that it would be a problem if the customer chose Russia as the country of residence when the person first registered with Binance. Therefore, this person’s transfers are blocked.
Binance has announced that due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which took place in the past months, not all Russian citizens, as well as all companies living in Russia with crypto assets of more than 10,400 USD, will be allowed to trade on its platform. Platform also added that with this ban, if the address verification checks of people in locations outside of Russia are completed, a new protocol won’t be applied for them either.

A lawyer based in Russia, as well as the co-chairman of the Russian Cryptocurrency Association and Blockchain industry group, stated in a statement that exchanges will continue to close potential gaps. It was also added that for the Russians it would be a good advance against sanctions where the emerging complexity of life and problems with the use of money, limitations.
Exchanges regarding sanctions against Russia will move forward in line with the government’s instructions.
