Digital fashion startup MNTGE has taken a major new step this week, launching the first physical apparel drop in the form of upcycled vintage jeans with embroidered produce design from designer Sean Wotherspoon. The 'Fruits & Veggies' jeans drop will provide 100 pairs of Levi's denim jeans available for sale to MNTGE Pass holders for $200. Non-holders will be able to purchase the jeans with a public sale beginning after the window for passholders and the jeans will sell for $250.

Coming from a background of designing for brands such as Nike and Adidas, Wotherspoon is a vintage enthusiast and tastemaker who connects to youth culture by creating unique apparel. MNTGE's initial access pass enabled the startup to create a core collector community, with Adler pointing out that their aim is now to be something "broad and embraced culturally".

The jeans also come with a NFC tag attached that allows owners to claim a free NFT minted on Polygon's Ethereum network. This NFT will authenticate the MNTGE apparel as well as grant owners potential exclusive benefits in the future, such as access to exclusive events and playlists. Not only are they looking to partner up with major music festivals, they’re also exploring ways to bring their NFT-based apparel into video games.

In the near future, MNTGE is looking to create patches to be affixed to its customizable fashion, as well as a digital fashion drop with another designer. Their aim is to move with culture and technology, creating truly one-off apparel with the promises of strong community rewards for ownership.
