CandleFocus Wolf Capital CEO pleads guilty in $9.4m crypto fraud case

Travis Ford, the CEO and co-founder of Wolf Capital Crypto Trading LLC, has pleaded guilty to orchestrating a cryptocurrency investment fraud scheme. The scheme operated from January to August 2023 and deceived almost 2,800 investors out of $9.4 million. Ford falsely claimed to be a skilled trader who could provide extraordinary daily returns of 1-2%, leading investors to suffer significant financial losses. Ford now faces up to five years in prison, with the sentencing to be determined by a federal court judge. This news follows the recent charging of a former pastor in Washington with 26 counts of fraud related to a cryptocurrency scheme.
