The price of Ethereum (ETH) has declined by over 7.5% in the past 24 hours, resulting in the largest liquidation of 2025. Approximately $171.50 million worth of traders' open positions have been liquidated, with the majority occurring in the past four hours. Long position holders have lost $85 million, while short sellers have lost $14 million. This liquidation happened as ETH failed to hold crucial support levels and breached the 200 EMA on the daily time frame. Technical analysts believe ETH is in a downtrend and could potentially reach the $2,850 level. The overall cryptocurrency market has also experienced a significant decline, with $700 million worth of crypto liquidations occurring.
