Ripple's CTO, David Schwartz, has warned his followers on social media about a scam involving Coinbase accounts. He shared an email he received from Coinbase support, which requested users to update their account details through a link. Schwartz emphasized that it was a phishing attempt and advised the XRP community to avoid engaging with the email. The warning has been commended by the community, highlighting the importance of influential figures protecting users from scams. Schwartz has also cautioned about the tax implications of cryptocurrency airdrops. XRP has experienced slight volatility in recent days but remains one of the largest cryptocurrencies with a market capitalization of $2.34 billion.
