mETH Protocol and Tether lead campaign to freeze Bybit hacker’s bounty

The cryptocurrency exchange Bybit suffered a $1.4 billion hack, believed to be orchestrated by the Lazarus group from North Korea. Despite initial panic, the crypto community has shown resilience, with mETH Protocol blacklisting the hacker's address and Binance and Tether freezing stolen funds. Bybit has processed 70% of withdrawal requests successfully and is offering a 10% recovery bounty to security experts. Attempts are being made to freeze the stolen funds, but a rollback or blacklisting at the protocol level is unlikely.
