Bitcoin experienced a sudden price drop after Bybit, a major exchange, was hacked for $1.4 billion in ETH, causing BTC to drop by over $4,000 in hours. Despite some recovery, BTC is still down almost 2% on a daily scale. Altcoins also plummeted following the news, with ETH, XRP, DOGE, ADA, TRX, LINK, XLM, LTC, and SUI suffering losses. The overall market capitalization of crypto assets decreased by around $130 billion, now sitting at $3.3 trillion.
