Craig Wright ‘likely’ filed COPA case appeal request to Supreme Court

Craig Wright, who was found guilty of contempt of court, has filed documents with the court that are likely an application for permission to appeal the verdict. However, patent attorney David Pearce believes that the application won't be successful as any appeal to the Supreme Court is legally barred. Wright had previously stated that he would appeal the verdict and was also ordered to pay £144,000 ($180,000) in legal costs to the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA). COPA argued that Wright breached injunctions and dishonestly claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto in a lawsuit against BTC Core and Square Up. Wright had previously filed an appeal against COPA which was rejected.
