CandleFocus Arthur Hayes's Family Office Funds Another Bitcoin Core Developer

Maelstrom, the family office of former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes, has awarded Jon Atack a one-year Bitcoin developer grant. Atack is an experienced contributor to Bitcoin Core and was recently made a maintainer of Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs). The grant aims to provide financial support for Atack's work on Bitcoin without worrying about income. The no-strings-attached grant allows Atack to work independently and focus on improving Bitcoin Core and BIPs. Maelstrom believes that funding more developers will benefit Bitcoin's ecosystem, which relies on voluntary contributors. Atack is also receiving funding from another organization, OpenSats.
