On November 25, 2024, the XRP Ledger experienced a brief outage for approximately 10 minutes, causing transaction processing to be halted. RippleX, the team behind the XRPL, has urged validators and node operators to upgrade their networks to the latest version, Rippled 2.3.0, in order to enhance network stability and prevent similar issues. The problem was caused by a missing ledger segment, which affected Ripple's network and Full History servers, preventing transaction validation. No funds were lost during the incident, but new transactions were temporarily paused. RippleX plans to share detailed technical information about the root cause of the issue on December 12, once most servers have implemented the necessary patch.
