South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit's announcement that it has listed Wormhole's (W) token for trading on several markets caused the token's price to rise by over 20%. The W token is now trading at $0.38, up from its previous price of $0.32, with a market cap of $935 million and a total value locked of $3.2 billion. Wormhole, a message passing protocol that connects different blockchains, has been listed on various exchanges and recently launched Era3 to enhance cross-chain interoperability. The protocol also introduced a governance staking feature for W token holders, promoting decentralized decision-making.
