Tether has announced the launch of the Legacy Mesh, a system that connects its USDT and USDT0 deployments across various blockchain networks. The integration includes chains such as TRON, Ton, Ethereum, Ink, and Berachain, creating a unified framework for stablecoin interoperability. The Legacy Mesh eliminates the need for third-party bridges and enhances the depth of the DeFi protocol, positioning Arbitrum as a liquidity hub for stablecoin transfers. Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, stated that the Legacy Mesh brings together 138 billion USDT, simplifying liquidity movement in a permissionless and self-sufficient manner. The Legacy Mesh currently uses Ethereum, TRON, and TON liquidity pools and plans to expand to other networks such as Ink and Berachain in the future.
