Telegram has released an update that allows users to upgrade their gifts on the platform into collectible non-fungible tokens (NFTs). These collectibles have unique designs and secondary traits, and can be traded or transferred on NFT marketplaces. Currently, there are over 1,400 variations of gifts available, with more planned for the future. The upgrades require Telegram Stars, virtual items that can be purchased within the Telegram ecosystem, to cover blockchain fees. The update also includes features such as reacting to service messages and filters for message searches.
