Sui, a Layer-1 blockchain developed by Mysten Labs, is preparing for a transformative year in 2025. The platform is focusing on scalability, functionality, and developer-friendly tools. Sui is introducing Mysticeti V2, an upgraded consensus mechanism for faster transaction processing. It is also implementing Remora, a solution for horizontal scaling, to process hundreds of thousands of transactions per second while maintaining low fees. Sui is improving decentralized applications with off-chain transaction systems and privacy features, including zero-knowledge proofs. The platform plans to launch Walrus for programmable, scalable storage directly tied to smart contracts. Sui is enhancing security with the SEAL framework and integrating SCION for secure routing. It is also rolling out new tools such as RPC 2.0 and Bugdar to improve developer experiences and ensure the safety of smart contracts.
