Stuart Hoegner, the general counsel for Tether and Bitfinex, has apparently left the firms after a decade of service. This is indicated by a change in his bio on X, which now refers to him as the "Former GC" for both companies. The "About Us" pages for Tether and Bitfinex have also been updated to remove references to Hoegner. Tether recently removed its Chief Compliance Officer, and Bitfinex removed its Chief Compliance Officer as well. It is currently unknown who is serving as the general counsel for both companies.
