Cross-chain swaps are being enhanced with the release of Squid 2.0. The update introduces a new architecture that simplifies transaction flows with multiple hops and expands functionality in areas such as stablecoin transfers and real-world asset transactions. Squid 2.0 utilizes a graph-based architecture to intelligently route swaps through over 110 liquidity sources across 77 chains, reducing costs and increasing execution speed. The update also includes a feature called Squid Boost, which allows for sub-20-second swaps. Squid is integrating liquidity from various decentralized exchanges and aims to create a fully noncustodial, multichain environment, abstracting away the need to directly interact with specific chains.
