Sonic SVM, a layer-2 gaming chain on Solana, is organizing a token generation event for its SONIC token. Players of the TikTok-based tap-to-earn game, SonicX, will receive airdropped tokens based on their in-app progress. The SONIC token will be the backbone of Sonic SVM's tap-to-earn ecosystem. The airdrop will include allocation for TikTok gamers, node operators, and NFT holders. Eligible users can choose to claim 60% of their allocation initially and vest the remaining amount over six months for a 140% bonus, or claim everything at once. Sonic SVM aims to open its TikTok distribution infrastructure to other Web3 projects and provide funding through SONIC grants for third-party developers.
