Shiba Inu has become one of the most traded coins in India, surpassing Bitcoin in popularity. The founder of Bitinning, Kashif Raza, highlighted this achievement and provided insights into India's crypto landscape in 2024. However, it was later revealed that the data was limited to the activity on the India-based exchange CoinSwitch. CoinSwitch currently has 20 million users, with 11% of them being women, and most of the investors are young, with 72% below the age of 35. Shiba Inu was the most traded token on CoinSwitch, with 9% of users trading SHIB this year, outpacing Pepe, Bitcoin, and Dogecoin. However, Dogecoin was the most-held token on the exchange, followed by Bitcoin. The popularity of Shiba Inu and Dogecoin is not surprising, as meme coins attract Indian users, with 14% drawn to them. Shiba Inu is currently trading at $0.00002188 with a trading volume of $489.48 million, while Dogecoin is trading at $0.316 with a daily volume of $2.32 billion.
