The partnership aims to reduce costs and boost computational power for AI research in healthcare, bioinformatics, and finance. Theta EdgeCloud, built on the Theta Network, offers scalable and cost-effective GPU computing resources through a global network of decentralized nodes. The collaboration with Seoul Women's University is seen as a significant step in democratizing AI research and follows Theta Labs' partnerships with KAIST University and Yonsei University. The decentralized infrastructure sector, including DePIN, is rapidly growing, with a projected market value of $3.5 trillion by 2028.
