Former chairman of the CFTC, Chris Giancarlo, predicts that the SEC will drop its case against Ripple. This comes as Wall Street's new top regulator is expected to take a more crypto-friendly stance. Ripple's top lawyer has also argued that the next SEC head should drop all non-fraud cryptocurrency cases on Day 1. SEC boss Gary Gensler's announcement of his departure in January has injected renewed optimism into Ripple. The SEC has also targeted other major crypto players like Coinbase and Binance. Former SEC Commissioner Paul Atkins is predicted to have a 60% chance of becoming the next SEC head.
