Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed the creation of a digital asset platform within the BRICS bloc, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The platform aims to facilitate electronic payments and attract investment in developing markets in regions such as South Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Putin highlighted the growth opportunities in these regions, citing population increases, capital accumulation, and rising urbanization rates as supporting factors. The proposal reflects BRICS' efforts to develop financial solutions outside of Western-dominated frameworks, and discussions regarding the platform's feasibility are expected to continue among BRICS members.
