Robinhood, a popular retail investing platform, is planning to expand its cryptocurrency offerings to Singapore by the end of 2025. The company aims to enter the market through its recently acquired crypto platform Bitstamp and will work with local regulators to ensure compliance. The expansion is part of Robinhood's overall plan to leverage Bitstamp's technology for global expansion. Robinhood Crypto already offers crypto transfers in Europe and holds regulatory approvals from the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the New York State Department of Financial Services. Bitstamp has over 50 regulatory approvals and licenses in Singapore, the UK, and the EU.
