Ripple's President, Monica Long, affirmed that the company remains committed to using both XRP and its stablecoin RLUSD in its payment solution. This announcement came after the unveiling of RLUSD's initial exchange partners at Ripple's annual conference. Long stated that RLUSD will be available on various exchanges once approved by the New York Department of Financial Service. She addressed concerns within the XRP community that RLUSD would replace XRP, assuring that both tokens will be used to enable cross-border settlements. Ripple's CTO, David Schwartz, also emphasized that XRP will not be replaced and highlighted its unique features. RLUSD is currently in closed beta testing and awaiting regulatory approval. Once approved, it will be available to users on select exchanges.
