The CBOE BZX exchange has filed with the SEC to list and trade spot XRP ETFs, representing progress in the crypto ETF landscape. The filing, made by four firms including WisdomTree and Bitwise, aims to launch exchange-traded products that track XRP. The filing marks the second step in the process, and industry experts predict that the approval of XRP spot ETFs could happen this year. The firms are implementing safeguards to increase the likelihood of approval, including sourcing XRP from secondary markets rather than Ripple Labs. The interest in XRP ETFs has grown following Ripple Labs' partial legal victory in its SEC lawsuit. The launch of XRP ETFs would provide investors with greater exposure to the digital asset space and could attract institutional investment.
