Ripple Labs, the blockchain company behind the RLUSD stablecoin, has continued to issue new RLUSD tokens on the Ethereum chain. According to data from the Ripple Stablecoin Tracker, the RLUSD Treasury minted 90 new stablecoins today, with a total of 402 RLUSD minted throughout the day. This comes after a week-long break in minting, with the last issuance occurring on September 6. The RLUSD stablecoin is backed by U.S. dollar deposits, short-term U.S. treasuries, and other liquid assets, and Ripple plans to hire a third-party auditor to verify its reserves and publish monthly attestations.
