XRP, the cryptocurrency affiliated with Ripple, has become the third-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. It has reached a multi-year high of $2.48, surpassing stablecoin Tether and Solana. XRP has made a comeback after facing challenges due to a lawsuit by the SEC. However, it still has a long way to go to surpass Ethereum. XRP's current market capitalization is $139 billion, making it bigger than major companies like Citigroup, Airbus, and Sony. Despite its rally, it is not the best-performing cryptocurrency in the top 100. Hedera managed to outstrip XRP with a 42% gain. Other altcoins like EOS and Litecoin have also seen significant gains. XRP has a major catalyst coming with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse's upcoming interview on "60 Minutes."
