Ripple CTO David Schwartz addressed the issue of misinformation in the crypto space regarding price and supply comparisons. He emphasized that comparing the prices of different cryptocurrencies or the supplies measured in the number of coins can be misleading and contribute to confusion. Schwartz warned that this misinformation could lead to poor investment decisions and unrealistic expectations. He urged investors to analyze crypto assets holistically rather than relying on simplistic comparisons. Schwartz also highlighted the difference in supply between XRP and Bitcoin, pointing out that while XRP has a maximum supply of 100 billion coins, Bitcoin has a maximum supply of 21 million coins. He argued that when measured in common units, the supply of Bitcoin remains higher than XRP.
