According to Alex Shevchenko, co-founder and CEO of Aurora Labs, user-specific generated front-ends and autonomous research agents have great potential to drive progress in drug development and materials creation. Shevchenko believes that while large language models are proficient in language-related tasks, the real excitement lies in helper agents for software, hardware, and engineering tasks. He envisions a future where AI agents can achieve complex goals without human supervision. Shevchenko also acknowledges that early portrayals of blockchain as disruptive may have led to resistance, but believes that the technology's transparency poses a challenge to organizations and governments accustomed to closed environments. He also discusses the challenges of blockchain interoperability and the vulnerabilities it presents, as well as the potential of AI agents in various domains. Aurora Labs aims to create a multi-chain world through its virtual chains concept, which opens up infrastructure to new use cases at zero cost. The company has also developed the Bitcoin Light Client and Relayer service to connect Bitcoin with the NEAR Protocol, enabling Bitcoin integration into DeFi and Web3 ecosystems. Shevchenko predicts that within the next five years, 80% of the world's population will have exposure to crypto assets, leading to digital cash adoption and a shift in focus from infrastructure to products.
