The REI Network Foundation has fully unstaked its early-stage Voting Support from Super Validators, marking the beginning of the "Open Development Phase" for REI Network. Validator rankings will now be determined by community votes, with the top 21 "Super Validators" selected to validate blocks and earn staking rewards and transaction fees. This move aims to bring more decentralization and transparency to the validator election process, allowing more people to use the public blockchain. The network upgrade in August 2022 introduced an incentive plan that supported the top validators, who have played a crucial role in the development of REI DAO. Currently, over 135 million REI tokens have been staked, and rewards have been distributed to validators. Going forward, REI Network will focus on enhancing its technology base to improve validator performance and increase the number of candidates, further decentralizing the network and enhancing economic security.
