Rupert Lowe, a U.K. Member of Parliament, has expressed his openness to learning about Bitcoin and revealed that he holds XRP. Lowe made these remarks during an interview with Bitcoin enthusiast Peter McCormack on his podcast. While Lowe admitted to not being an expert in cryptocurrencies, he supports the concept of having a disciplined currency. He also mentioned his personal experience of buying XRP and how it has gained value. McCormack, however, argued against investing in XRP and claimed that it, along with other cryptocurrencies besides Bitcoin, is a scam. In addition to discussing cryptocurrencies, Lowe has been actively advocating for an end to quantitative easing in the U.K., as he believes it leads to the debasement of the currency and removes financial accountability from the government. This perspective aligns with the views of many Bitcoin proponents who consider the digital asset to be a safe haven due to its programmed and limited supply.
