The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under its new administration has been dropping lawsuits and closing investigations against major cryptocurrency companies. The SEC has dropped lawsuits against Robinhood, Coinbase, ConsenSys, and Kraken, while temporarily suspending lawsuits against Binance and Tron. However, ongoing cases filed under the previous chairman, Gary Gensler, include Ripple, Cumberland, DRW, and Pulsechain. The Ripple case is particularly significant, and while former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci claimed that the SEC had dropped the lawsuit, no official decision has been announced. The SEC-Ripple case is still being heard in the Court of Appeals.
