John Deaton, founder of Crypto Law, has called for the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to release a report on a 2018 speech by former SEC official William Hinman, which is crucial to the Ripple case. The speech provided regulatory clarity for Ethereum but has raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest within the SEC. An independent watchdog group requested an investigation into the speech, and the report has been completed and sent to SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, but it has not been made public. Deaton, representing 75,000 XRP holders, directly contacted Gensler's office to respectfully request the report's release within the next 10 days. He also encouraged others to join in the push for transparency and accountability. As the deadline nears, the crypto community is rallying together to ensure the report is released before Gensler resigns as SEC Chairman.
