Nym CEO Harry Halpin claims that current virtual private networks (VPNs) have a trust problem, as users must trust the VPN provider not to log or copy their data. To address this, Nym has created a decentralized VPN (dVPN) that encrypts and routes each packet of data separately through a network of computers. The dVPN also mixes fake traffic with the packets to enhance privacy. The service offers two security tiers, a high-security, slower option and a faster, less secure option for streaming. NymVPN is currently available for public testing on a free trial.
