Crypto decentralized exchange Dexx has been hacked, with over 9,000 transactions and 2,800 compromised addresses involved, according to blockchain security firm Beosin. The stolen funds have not yet been transferred out of the hacker's wallet, leading to concerns about further exploitation. Beosin believes the hack originated from a leak of a centralized custodian's private keys, allowing the attacker to access numerous consumer wallets. Beosin has advised Dexx users to immediately move their assets to safe and secure wallets and to avoid using centralized custodians until the vulnerability is resolved. The incident highlights the risks associated with centralized custodians and weak security practices regarding private keys.
