The official government account of Cuba was apparently hacked and used to promote a Cuba-themed memecoin. The token's price rose and then quickly dropped, leading some to believe the Cuban government was involved in the memecoin trend started by Donald Trump. However, the posts from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs seemed out of character, suggesting the launch was the work of hackers. The government account acknowledged the issue and apologized, stating that someone had gotten into their account. The account then posted another link to a different crypto coin for Cuba before ultimately being locked.
