Namada, a layer-1 blockchain platform and shielded asset hub, has proposed a plan to reward donors of Coin Center, a blockchain advocacy group, with its native token NAM. The proposal aims to initiate a public goods funding campaign and if approved, between 1 and 2 million NAM tokens will be airdropped to Coin Center donors. This would represent 2% to 4% of the PGF's yearly budget. The community has shown positive feedback for the proposal, with many supporting funding for Coin Center's work in addressing legal and regulatory issues in the US crypto space. Coin Center's top policy priorities for the coming year include protecting developers of non-custodial software, American crypto owners, pushing for tax reforms, and achieving regulatory clarity.
