Leading Ethereum wallet provider MetaMask is launching a limited pilot program for the MetaMask Card in the U.S. The card allows users to spend their crypto assets stored in their MetaMask wallet at physical stores and online platforms where Mastercard is accepted. Interested users in the U.S. can join the waitlist to try out the card before it is publicly released, although it is currently unavailable in New York and Vermont. The pilot program was initially launched in the UK and Europe and has since been extended to other jurisdictions. The card currently supports USDC, USDT, and WETH cryptocurrencies within the Linea Network, with the possibility of adding more assets in the future. Users can also integrate the card with Google and Apple Pay for contactless purchases. The public launch timeline for the MetaMask Card is currently unknown as the company continues to expand the pilot program to more regions.
