Bitlayer has partnered with LayerZero Labs to improve cross-chain interoperability within its ecosystem. The collaboration will utilize LayerZero's open-source messaging protocol, allowing Bitlayer projects to create dApps that can communicate seamlessly across more than 90 blockchain networks. This integration will also enable developers to bridge funds across over 300 decentralized applications operating within Bitlayer's ecosystem. LayerZero's messaging protocol will eliminate transaction fees associated with cross-chain interactions and simplify the bridging process between different blockchain platforms. The partnership will enhance Bitlayer's compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), making it easier for developers to design and deploy applications that function across multiple blockchains. LayerZero has facilitated over 137 million messages across 90 blockchain networks and has supported over $5 billion in crypto-asset transfers. In addition to the partnership with Bitlayer, LayerZero has integrated with defi.money, enabling the protocol's stablecoin, MONEY, to function as an omnichain fungible token (OFT), allowing for cross-chain liquidity and token transfers. The integration with LayerZero provides defi.money with full control over its MONEY contract and eliminates third-party risks.
