The native token of decentralized exchange aggregator Jupiter, JUP, has fallen by 3% in the past 24 hours to $0.90 as the platform prepares for its latest airdrop claim. The token has dropped 25% from its local high of $1.20 as decentralized exchanges on the Solana network experienced a surge in trading volumes. Jupiter will open claims for its latest airdrop on January 22, allowing approximately 2 million eligible wallets to claim a share of 700 million JUP tokens. Users have three months to claim their tokens and must create a Jupiter profile to do so. The airdrop was confirmed through a DAO proposal and is the second of two airdrops planned for 2025 and 2026.
