Argentinian President Javier Milei expressed his support for hosting the next edition of Devconnect, a gathering to promote the growth of the Ethereum ecosystem. This came in response to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin praising Argentina's Ethereum community. Buterin suggested that the event should be held in Argentina to showcase good examples of crypto usage. Milei agreed and stated that it would be an honor for Argentina to host Devconnect. Argentina has a significant presence in the crypto space, ranking 15th in terms of adoption and leading in crypto value received in Latin America. The interactions between Milei and Buterin took place amidst controversy surrounding the memecoin LIBRA, which Milei endorsed but later crashed in value. It was reported that Milei had no financial stake in the token and shared it on social media in good faith.
