The IOTA Rebased Protocol is undergoing governance voting, which will last for seven days, followed by seven days of vote counting. The voting power of IOTA token holders will accumulate over time, and those who hold their tokens for the full counting period will have their voting power fully reached. The vote will be available in the Firefly or Bloom wallet, and a quorum of 5% of the circulation supply must be reached for the voting to be valid. If the quorum is not reached, a new voting process will be initiated. The IOTA Foundation is responsible for overseeing the vote and ensuring the integrity of the process. The Rebased Protocol is expected to bring programmability and full decentralization to the IOTA ecosystem, creating sustainable value for token holders and allowing the project to scale up adoption efforts.
