IOTA experienced a downward trend this week, reaching its lowest level in over two weeks. Despite progress on the Rebased upgrade, the token dropped to a weekly low of $0.1743 on Monday. However, it stabilized at $0.2230 on Friday, marking a 30% increase from its lowest point. The Rebased testnet made progress with the addition of several validators, including Stakefish with over $3 billion in staked assets. The upgrade will bring new features to IOTA and allow token holders to stake their tokens and earn between 10% and 15% APY. IOTA hopes the Rebased upgrade will position it as a viable alternative to other chains, such as Ethereum and Solana. However, the token has seen a significant drop since December and is currently hovering near its lowest level since November. Technical indicators suggest further downside potential, with a continued decline possibly reaching last year's low of $0.1035.
