Blockchain project Huddle01 plans to raise up to $37 million through the sale of network nodes for its decentralized audio and video conferencing platform. The nodes, called "media nodes," allow users to contribute excess internet bandwidth to the network in exchange for token rewards. The first sale of up to 20,000 nodes, costing $8 million in total, will begin in November. Huddle01's platform, built on Arbitrum's Orbit software stack, aims to provide lower latency virtual meetings than Zoom and Google Meet. The project has already raised $6 million in traditional funding rounds.
