The $248 billion class-action lawsuit against Elon Musk, filed in 2022, accusing him of making misleading statements about Dogecoin and causing financial losses for investors, has been dropped. The lawsuit cited instances such as Musk's appearance on Saturday Night Live and his decision to replace the X logo with the doge mascot as contributing factors to the decline in Dogecoin's price. The Dogecoin Foundation, which supported its core developers and community members involved in the lawsuit, expressed relief at the case's conclusion. With the lawsuit behind him, Musk continues to be a prominent supporter of Dogecoin. The Dogecoin Foundation is now focused on developing "Dogebox," which aims to simplify running a full node of Dogecoin, accepting Dogecoin, and building solutions on top of it.
