Project Liberty, a decentralized social media ecosystem, has partnered with Consensys to expand into the Ethereum blockchain. The project aims to reduce reliance on monolithic social media companies and build a fairer internet. Under the agreement, Project Liberty's Frequency blockchain will become compatible with Consensys' technology, including the Linea layer-2 network and MetaMask self-custody wallet. This compatibility may generate fee income for Linea and increase interest in Frequency. Project Liberty plans to add other blockchains in the future and aims to create a universal social graph accessible to everyone. The project's founder, Frank McCourt, believes that interoperability is key to realizing their population-scale vision.
