The founder of Catly, a new video game called "AI-slop," has a history of failed NFT and blockchain games. The studio's co-founder, Kevin Yeung, previously launched TenthPlanet, which planned to release two blockchain games but never did. Yeung also invested $2.5 million in a cat-themed project called Alien Meow, which never came to fruition. Catly, which secured a spot at the 2024 Game Awards, has raised concerns among users regarding its use of NFTs and AI-generated images. Some have called it a scam, and Yeung has deleted his LinkedIn profile.
