Ethereum's highly anticipated Pectra upgrade is set to go live, starting with testnet forks on the Holesky and Sepolia testnets. The expected dates for the forks are February 24th and March 5th, respectively. If the Sepolia fork goes smoothly, the mainnet launch date will be finalized during a meeting on March 6th. Pectra combines eight major upgrades into one, including improvements to the wallet user experience and an increase in the maximum amount validators can stake. Originally planned to be the largest update in Ethereum's history, the fork has been split in two. As developers prepare for the mainnet activation of Pectra, they are also reviewing proposals for the Fusaka upgrade, which is expected to include two EIPs as a baseline.
