Eric Conner, a core developer at Ethereum, has left the Ethereum community after 11 years due to disagreements with co-founder Vitalik Buterin over a proposed leadership shake-up. Conner was involved in the development of the EIP-1559 network change and has been a key contributor to the ecosystem's growth. Instead, he will be joining the AI-focused protocol, Fresya.AI. Buterin has rejected calls for changing the leadership structure at the Ethereum Foundation, stating that he will remain the leader until a "board" is established. The Ethereum network is also planning to release its Pectra upgrade in March, which aims to improve speed and efficiency.
