El Salvador President Nayib Bukele and Michael Saylor, founder of Strategy, met to discuss Bitcoin at the Presidential House of El Salvador. The country added one Bitcoin to its holdings, bringing the total to 6,077 BTC worth about $590 million. Strategy also acquired 7,633 Bitcoin, increasing its reserves to 478,740 BTC valued at approximately $46 billion. The meeting took place amid recent regulatory changes in El Salvador, which adopted Bitcoin as legal tender. Amendments to the Bitcoin law were made to comply with an International Monetary Fund loan agreement. However, the IMF has expressed concerns about the country's Bitcoin adoption.
