In a series of new videos, Jeff Garzik, a veteran Linux contributor and former Bitcoin project developer, shares details about his time working with Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto. Garzik joined the project in 2010 and contributed to early software releases, including proposals to raise the block size limit and eliminate subsidies for free transactions. Garzik believes Satoshi was a solitary genius who combined existing cryptographic solutions to create Bitcoin. He also describes Satoshi as a humble and self-taught programmer who was strictly focused on Bitcoin. The videos were released by Garzik's new venture, Hemi Network, which aims to develop a modular Layer-2 protocol powered by Bitcoin and Ethereum. While other early Bitcoin contributors have released correspondence with Satoshi, Garzik has yet to release any emails.
